At My Flooring America, being part of the Webster, TX, community means more than helping homeowners find the right flooring. We believe in supporting the people, organizations, and local partnerships that make Bay Area Houston a great place to live and work.
Our community involvement reflects our commitment to making a positive difference throughout Southeast Texas. From supporting injured first responders and their families to investing in regional economic growth, we are proud to contribute to causes that help our community thrive.
My Flooring America is proud to support the Tunnel to Towers Foundation's Smart Home Program, which provides specially designed, mortgage-free smart homes for catastrophically injured veterans and first responders. These homes incorporate accessibility features and smart technology to help recipients regain independence and improve their quality of life.
The first home associated with our involvement went to Urbano Rodriguez Jr., a Denton Police Department patrol officer who was seriously injured in the line of duty. During a traffic stop, Rodriguez was shot four times, including once in the head, and sustained life-changing injuries that affected his mobility and daily independence.
Despite a long and challenging recovery, Rodriguez continues to demonstrate determination and resilience. His custom-built smart home in Crossroads, Texas, provides an accessible living environment designed to meet his needs and support his family.
We are honored to support an initiative that recognizes the sacrifices of first responders and helps them build a new chapter with greater independence and dignity.
